A rakhi from Dan (China)

Yesterday, they celebrated the festival of Rakhi in India. "Rakhi" refers to a special wristband made for this occasion. Sisters tie this Rakhi on their brothers' wrists and pray for their long life and success. Cousins or friends can also tie the Rakhi. Traditionally, Rakhis were handmade, but nowadays most are factory-made.

A rakhi from a Dan, a friend in China, arrived by mail.

Dan and I are always sparring about something. Some years back, I told Dan about this festival. Since then, no matter how much we argue, every year Dan makes a Rakhi and mails it to me.

Thanks, Dan! I miss you, but let’s fight.
