Only problem going to Imphal (India)

The only problem with going to Imphal is that I will then want to go to Burma.

The airport lounge had Paper boat drinks that evoke nostalgia. Most of these beverages were our staple in summer months.

Jamun, Indian blackberry or Java plum, was a favorite fruit that dyed our tongues dark purple. Kala Khatta (lit. black sour) was a favorite flavor made from this fruit that crushed ice lolly sellers offered.

Jaljeera (cumin lemonade), the middle pouch, was a digestive. Aam panna, made of raw mango was another summer essential.
