A face in the crowd (Vietnam)

It’s December, and it’s cold late at night in Hanoi. The skewer shop is a welcome stopover — you can warm your hands while they get your stuff ready. Just then, a stranger— another late-night shopper— smiles at you. Nothing can warm you up more.

A year later. I got a curious one.

While down south in Saigon.

Before all of this ever went down

In another place, another town

You were just a face in the crowd.

Any Tom Petty fans here?
