Deep blue Mongolian sky (China)

I read that Mongolia has deep blue skies. It is true. It was an intense blue. I crossed the inter-province border from Ningxia to go to a little Mongolian town called Bayan Hot.

Parts of the crumbling great wall forms the border here.

Across the Tengger desert.

This is a temple called Yanfu Si. A mother and daughter were filling small cups with wine and splashing it over the elephant statue.

I met a Mongolian couple who gave me an apple. The local bus did have people getting on with their sheep.
